CALL TO WORSHIP
Rev. Stephen Ro

On this holy night, we remember:
the world was dark,
hope felt fragile,
and yet God chose this very moment to act.

Not with force,
not with thunder,
but with a child.

A light that could not be extinguished.
A peace the world could not make.
A love that would not let go.

So let us open our hearts—
whether with confidence or with curiosity.

Let us lift our voices—
whether in faith or in wonder.

Because tonight, the good news is still good news:
God is with us.
God is for us.
God has come to us.

Come, let us worship the newborn King,
Emmanuel—God with us.

CHRISTMAS CAROLS

O Come O Come Emmanuel
John Mason Neale, Thomas Helmore © Public Domain / CCLI #1770735

O come O come Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lowly exile here
Until the Son of God appear

Rejoice rejoice Emmanuel
Shall come to thee O Israel

O come Thou Dayspring come and cheer
Our spirits with Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadows put to flight

O come Desire of nations bind
All peoples in one heart and mind
Bid all our sad divisions cease
And be Thyself our King of Peace

O Holy Night
Adolphe Charles Adam, Chappeau de Roquemaure, John S. Dwight © Public Domain / CCLI #1770735

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Til He appeared, and the soul felt its worth

A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks, a new and glorious morn

Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
O night divine, O night when Christ was born
O night, divine! O night, O night divine

Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name

Christ is the Lord!
O praise His Name forever
His power and glory evermore proclaim
His power and glory evermore proclaim

O Come, All Ye Faithful
C. Frederick Oakeley, John Francis Wade © Public Domain /  CCLI #1770735

O come, all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of angels

O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

Sing, choirs of angels
Sing in exultation
O sing all ye citizens of heaven above
Glory to God
Glory in the highest

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee
Born this happy morning
Jesus, to Thee be all glory giv’n
Word of the Father
Now in flesh appearing

Joy to the World (Unspeakable Joy)
Chris Tomlin, Ed Cash, George Frideric Handel, Isaac Watts, Matt Gilder © sixsteps Music / worshiptogether.com songs / CCLI #1770735

Joy to the world, the Lord is come
Let Earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven, and Heaven and nature sing

Joy to the world, the Savior reigns
Let all their songs employ
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy

Joy, unspeakable joy
An overflowing well, no tongue can tell
Joy, unspeakable joy
Rises in my soul, never lets me go

He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders, wonders of His love
